Concept 1, includes external insulation to the existing building to help improve the thermal performance of the building. This also enables the existing building to benefit from a new external appearance. This would include new thermally broken triple glazed window and the addition of Photovoltaic panels to help generate energy and reduce energy demand.
Internally, the existing toilets would be refurbished as part of an overall refresh of the existing internal finishes, to improve the internal appearance of the existing building.
External works include improvement and enlargement of the car-park.
Concept 2, includes external insulation to the existing building to help improve the thermal performance of the building. This also enables the existing building to benefit from a new external appearance. This would include new thermally broken triple glazed window and the addition of photovoltaic panels to help generate energy and reduce energy demand.
Internally, the existing toilets would be refurbished as part of an overall refresh of the existing internal finishes, to improve the internal appearance of the existing building and to reduce energy usage. This option also includes the relocation of the kitchen to enable the new kitchen to service the existing main hall and also serve externally onto the new patio which faces on to the existing playing field.
The existing kitchen is converted into a small meeting room. The rear wall of the main hall, would have full height storage added. The existing fixed stage would be removed and replaced with a de-mountable stage. This will enable the existing openings to be extended down to the floor and the external steps to be removed, to allow for the provision of doors and windows which link directly to the new patio and existing playing field. An acoustic separating wall is also proposed to enable the main hall to be divided into two separate rent-able spaces.
External works include improvement and enlargement of the car-park.
Concept 3, includes external insulation to the existing building to help improve the thermal performance of the building. This also enables the existing building to benefit from a new external appearance. This would include new thermally broken triple glazed window and the addition of Photovoltaic panels to help generate energy and reduce energy demand. The existing building will also be extended to include a new entrance, new lounge (functional space) and additional storage areas.
Internally, the existing toilets would be refurbished as part of an overall refresh of the existing internal finishes, to improve the internal appearance of the existing building and to reduce water useage. This option also includes the relocation of the kitchen to enable the new kitchen to service the existing main hall and also serve externally onto the new patio which faces on to the existing playing field. This option also includes for the creation of a new lounge, which could be rented out and utilised separately from the main hall or meeting room.

External works include improvement and enlargement of the car-park. The main entrance to the village hall would be relocated to into the new side extension adjacent to the playing field, this would enable the new entrance to give easy access to the village halls multiple function spaces. The existing main entrance would be adjusted to create a new room for hire or external use, currently shown as an archive room.
Concept 3a and 3b Views, both options represent the layout and concept ideas for the improvement of the existing village hall as shown in concept 3. The only difference is an alteration to the proposed new roof.
Concept 3a, shows the existing ridge and roof line simply extended to cover the exention to the building.
Concept 3b, adds a south facing, entrance roof, to mark the entrance more clearly to building visitors, it also provides a 45 degree south facing roof area, which would be optimal for photovoltaic panels to provide energy for the village hall and to power possible electric vehicle charging points, to help provide the facility in the village and to generate additional income for the village hall.
